An "issue-based social networking site created for anyone either on the autism spectrum or in the autism community," AuTube gives users an opportunity to watch a video in which experts answer a question of interest, and then respond with comments or videos of their own. There's also a podcast to subscribe to and Twitter tweets to follow.

Looking for the latest news on developmental disabilities? Try "the first and only nationally focused online news organization serving the developmental disability community including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, fragile X and mental retardation, among others." From the Disability Scoop site, you can read short summaries of news stories as well as more in-depth articles; arrange to get those alerts through e-mail, RSS, Facebook, or Twitter; and find out about helpful resources.
27. Accessing the Artist Within
Children ages 5-12 are invited to participate in this art project from the Anne Carlsen Center in North Dakota. All artwork must be made using assistive technology, and those accepted will be displayed on the project's Web site. Ten pieces will be exhibited at the Closing the Gap Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this October. From the site, you can learn more about the project and download an application.
