Holiday Survival Kit
Part 3: Personal Survival

By Terri Mauro, About.com

With all the errands and shopping and parties and card-signing and cooking and house-cleaning and children underfoot that come with this time of year, there's much less time to spend relaxing and recharging your batteries, and much greater need to do so. Here are some ways to wedge in a little rest and recreation.

* Put together a real wish list.
* Send eCards instead of paper ones.
* Set up an online family holiday headquarters.
* Work out with your child.
* Keep a journal (no, really; you can do it).
* Give yourself a time-out.
* Take a day off.
* Get some inspiration.
* Take a quick quiz.
* Surf for fun things to do.
* Try out the Site of the Day.
* Express your opinion.
* Set aside some "Mom Moments."
* Read some love notes.
* Make your resolutions realistic.
