Buying a new or used family car -- or buying first wheels for a young driver -- is always an exciting event, but for families of children with disabilities, there can be the added burden of adapting the vehicle for wheelchair use or other special needs. Fortunately, many car manufacturers have Mobility Programs that reimburse buyers up to $1,000 for disability-related modifications.
