The buffet table is full to breaking with allergy-unsafe food. The candy your child is forbidden to eat has been placed at child level. There's sneeze-triggering pet hair everywhere. The gifts your child is given are as developmentally inappropriate as possible. The activities planned for kids are ones your child can't possibly keep up on. Rather than welcoming your special child, your family seems to have done everything possible to create an uncaring, excluding environment. Take a deep breath. Take another. Try some deep breathing.
