Blog: Garden of Eagan
Finalist for: Favorite Special-Needs Parenting Blog
Online Since: June 2005
Garden of Eagan is written by Leah Spring. I asked Leah to tell us what's special about her blog, and she wrote: "What makes my blog special is I have a purpose, which is to allow other parents who have children with special needs, particularly Down syndrome, see that life after diagnosis doesn't have to be all doom and gloom. But I'm also a realist, so I blog about a life where not everything that happens is good. Sometimes I like to show off my terrible parenting ideas just so people can see we're not always on our game! I'm not on my game until after 11:00 a.m. so the fact I can get my kids out the door on time amazes me sometimes. Throw international adoption into the mix, and people want to see both the good and bad side of it so they can prepare themselves for what's ahead. That's me. Keeping it real and semi sane for all the world to see."
