How Well Do You Know Your Child's School?
Add up your answers

By , About.com Guide

Did you answer all the questions?

  • What questions, you say? Start here.
  • Some of these questions involve multiple teachers or school administrators. Make sure you record an answer for every one of those people. Go ahead -- go back and do that now.

Figure out your score

  • Give yourself one point for every question you were honestly, completely able to answer "yes" to.
  • Give yourself zero points for every question you had no choice but to answer "no" to.
  • Give yourself half a point for all those questions you knew too much to say "no" to but not enough to say "yes."
  • Deduct one point for every question to which your answer was, "Aw, who cares?" Hey, this is serious!

What does your score mean?

As a number, not all that much -- it will be influenced by how many administrators and teachers you made answers for, and so other than bragging rights amongst parents at the same school, size doesn't really matter -- but as a benchmark, it has plenty of value as you use it to set goals for the year ahead.
