August looks like a slow month for awareness and advocacy events ... but maybe I'm missing some? Add them in.
All my humorous and inspirational mini-posters, coupons, bookmarks, and more, all together in one place.
Looking for those slightly off-the-beaten-path things that kids with special needs need for back to school -- like a clear backpack, a pencil fidget, a non-buckling belt? I've gathered some articles to point you in the right direction.
"beyondblue is a national, independent, not-for-profit organisation working to address issues associated with depression, anxiety and related disorders in Australia."
A petition at Change.org seeks to get wider availability for Susie Bean, a clothing company that donates 60 percent of profits to, according to its website,
"helping families get services for their child with behavior disorders or their child with autism/mental illness."
Upload a picture of your smile to its Facebook page (app required), and Dreyer's will donate $5 to Operation Smile,
a charity that "provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities for children around the globe."
"Autism360 is a unique tool which provides an accurate report that captures the details of your child’s or your own individuality and offers treatment options that have worked for others with closely matching records."
