The Bravest Boy I Ever Knew

As a special education teacher at the middle school setting, I highly recommend "The Bravest Boy I Ever Knew" to all. As I read the 24-page book, I was drawn into the story through the well-written narrative and beautiful illustrations. The reader does not realize that the "Bravest Boy" is in a wheelchair until near the end of the story.
I can see parents using this book to help their children understand that people are different and that is okay.
This is a wonderful book that helps make the connection that although we are all different in some way, we can find positive ways to interact together!!
