Why I Started
I started this blog as a way to reach out to other parents with special needs kids. So many times, our special needs sites are focused in finding causes and looking to blame someone for the disabilities... my blog is a lighthearted look at the positivity of autism and the amazement of our children.
How I Do It
I try to publish 2-3 times a week, depending on our schedule.
The details of my family life are very personal and based on my day-to-day experience. I want the blog to touch the heart of other parents who feel all alone out there... a place where we've been before. I don't know which type of how-tos to offer except to just write from the heart.
Advice
- Write from the heart.
- Don't be afraid.
- There are many other parents in your shoes who can relate, you just don't know them yet.
- My journal, my friends and my family are my inspiration.
