Visual Schedule for Dentist Appt
- I made a visual schedule with picture symbols for our dentist. She uses it with her patients with special needs, or any anxious little ones. You can download a free PDF from my website, www.GivingGreetings.com/freestuff.html.

Running the water and suction hoses
- Having the opportunity to take control of the sucking and squirting (with responsibility) kept the focus off the tooth issues as she got used to the dentist - still at 24 we deal with a lot of dentist work. She also got to push the button for Mom's x-rays. Keeping her involved in the process kept her focused on the task in her hands versus the task necessary in the dental hands. She still needs an incredible amount of Novocain for them to be able to work on her mouth.
